Hi guys! I’m sad to say this, but this week will be my last blog as the TMYL summer session ends on Friday and I go back to New York next month. I enjoyed my time working with the participants, coaches, and parents. I learned a lot from working with all the different age groups and diverse backgrounds, and appreciate TMYL for giving me this opportunity. I hope to be back next summer, of course at Quentin Park!
On a happier note, Quentin Park participants are doing very well in the tournament this week! We have combined with Letts in order to make the tournament more fun and challenging and have two of our participants from Q-Park in the semi-finals! I’m glad to see them out there trying their best and succeeding. It shows that hard work pays off in the end. The tournament will conclude tomorrow and we’ll have trophies for the winners at our end of summer picnic on Friday.
The picnic will be Friday at 5:30 and I’m excited because we have pizza donated from Pizza House coming and I get to announce the names for Quentin Park participants. Also, on Friday during regular program hours, we’re having a water balloon fight. This is something we do annually and I’m prepared to get soaked. Most of the participants go after coaches so I am fully prepared to be drenched in water from water balloons and water guns. I love that we end the week with a different kind of fun activity for the kids and coaches!
Thanks for reading everyone, I’m glad to be chosen as the coach to write blogs this summer. I always enjoy working at TMYL, and I hope to be back at Q-Park next year!
