After School Program

Todd Martin Youth Leadership’s (TMYL’s) Riddle After School Program is an engaging and comprehensive initiative designed for students from kindergarten through 6th grade who attend or have attended Riddle Elementary. Held at Letts Community Center, this program operates Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM during the school year and 9am – 4pm in the summer.

Program Structure: Students are divided into three age-appropriate groups:

  • Aces: Kindergarten to 1st grade

  • Challengers: 2nd to 3rd grade

  • Futures: 4th to 6th grade

Daily Schedule: The program follows two alternating day schedules (A Day and B Day), ensuring a diverse and balanced experience for all participants. Each day includes:

  1. Team Meeting: Focused on life skills development

  2. Rotational Activities: Including academic support, tennis instruction, and play/life skills sessions

  3. Enrichment Activities: community partners provide a wide variety of activities, including STEAM, art, financial literacy, hip hop dancing

  4. Snack and Departure

Key Program Components:

  1. Academic Support: Dedicated time for homework completion, use of MyPath online reading and math program, and skills packet work.

  2. Tennis Instruction: Certified tennis coaching to develop physical skills and promote an active lifestyle.

  3. Life Skills Development: Activities designed to enhance teamwork, leadership, and personal growth.

  4. Play and Recreation: Structured playtime to encourage social interaction and physical activity.

  5. Snack: Nutritious snacks provided daily.

Logistics:

  • TMYL staff pick up students from school at dismissal

  • Students walk to Letts Community Center with TMYL staff

  • Parent pick-up is at 6:00 PM from Letts Community Center
