Todd Martin Youth Leadership exists to prepare young people, especially those from under-resourced families and communities, for success as individuals and as active, responsible citizens through innovative tennis, education, life skills, and leadership development programming.
WHAT WE DO
education
Education plays a crucial role in a kid’s life. At TMYL, we want to help set the youth of Lansing up for a bright future by providing academic tutoring that will bolster their confidence and create opportunity.
Community
We strive to provide a sense of community, belonging, and support to our Lansing youth, creating an environment where our participants can learn, grow, and achieve.
physical activity
Physical activity is not only important for the physical health of Lansing youth, but also mental and emotional health. We provide a safe space where kids can play tennis and build their growing skillsets.
WHY WE DO IT
Students in the Lansing School District are full of creativity and endless potential. But due to systemic barriers, their standardized test scores have fallen over the past decade and are losing ground every year compared with their peers around the country. TMYL strives to shrink that gap through our tutoring and tennis programs.
